Class Yearbooks
The Journalism Department of Lone Oak High School published a yearbook for each graduating class beginning in 1937. Of the years that were published we have all but 1938 and 1939. Due to World War II, no yearbook was published in 1943 or 1945. Between 1954 and 1963, only a small Senior Spotlight was produced - during these years of tremendous growth in the County School system, it was deemed more important to spend on classrooms instead of yearbooks, although many have long since regretted that decision. In 1964, the yearbooks returned with each class's artistic design, and continued through the Final Chapter in 2013.
A lot of work has gone into this collection, from scanning to online production, and a lot of people have contributed. Many thanks to the 2012-2013 Lone Oak High School administration for allowing us access to historical archives and to the dozens of alumni who donated copies for scanning. It is truly a community effort.
