1976 Newspapers

Oak-K Newspapers from the 1975-1976 School Year may be found via the menu to the right all presented in PDF format for viewing or download. For this school year we have eight of the nine published issues, missing only the December issue. Many thanks to the LOHS Journalism Department for safe guarding as many as we have from the archives.

We saw a few issues shrink back to 4 pages this year, and the introduction of more "public service" announcements - that's a general interest advertisement that's free. The creativity of the staff is quite amazing in keeping each issue interesting and informative.

In looking at the history of Lone Oak High School, we learn a lot from the annuals, but the monthly Oak-K newspapers paint a much more detailed and definitive picture of what the school and the culture was all about. Thank you Oak-K staff. We hope you enjoy these issues from the Class of 76 and the glimpse of history they provide.
