If you have addition information that is applicable to the Class of 94, please e-mail the site Webmaster. Please provide contact information so that we may reply.
Principal Wallace Adams and Assistant Principal Buddy Rushing continued as the LOHS administration in years of continued growth in an aging school building some of which was orginally built in 1927 although expanded and renovated many times over the years. The Class of 1994 graduated just under 200 seniors, the largest in many years. The need was obvious, but expensive, the question was whether to renovate again or to replace the aging building. After long consideration, as reported in the January 94 Oak-K, the McCracken County School board voted to build a new Lone Oak High School completely replacing the older main building and renovating the newer sections. It would take quite awhile for the engineering and construction as the building would literally be built around the existing structure on the same footprint. After numerous delays, the construction didn't begin for two more years and lasted well into the 1996-97 school year. Seems like there is always something going on around LOHS.
