Class of 66 - 50th Reunion Friday Meet and Greet

For our 50th Reunion we were fortunate enough to rent the Walker Hall Event Center literally for the whole weekend starting Friday afternoon. So the opportunity was there for a more formal Meet and Greet than previous years, and since we wanted the 50th to be an event to remember, the opportunity was taken. Hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar kept everyone filled while name tags helped to keep the guessing game down. Forty-Eight class mates along with an equal number of spouses and guests greeted those many hadn't seen in at least five years and often more. No organized program was held, we all just came and talked and talked and talked...

We started early enough that anyone who wanted to could still find dinner at the ongoing BBQ-on-the-River events just down the street. But, alas, the hors d'oeuvres were too good and age began to show about 8:30pm. By 9pm, most had gone home. 50 years is a long time.

We would be remiss if we didn't specifically thank our hosts and owners of the Walker Hall Event Center; David and Linda Rice ('68) Curtis for their hospitality and cooperation over the whole event.

These images from the Friday night event are shown in somewhat of a random order as they were collected from Larry Heavrin, Brenda Osborne, Jean Marie Russell and David Osborne. We hope you enjoy.
