Class of 66 - Big 4-oh! Dinner and Dance

An unfortunate effect of all the festivities surrounding the John Robinson Memorial events and BBQ-on-the-River was the limited availability of meeting facilities. After numerous scheduling conflicts and some sticker shock, the St John's Knight of Columbus hall located south of Lone Oak was chosen. The rather large open space turned out to be very accommodating and comfortable for the Saturday night dinner and dance.

A catered dinner, cash bar and DJ with plenty of dancing space along with games, a slide show and memorabilia made an evening to remember which is exactly what we did. The KC Hall manager made a special emphasis on not scuffing the newly cleaned floor, so when it came time for dancing we were a bit concerned - until the ladies came up with the idea for an old fashioned sock-hop. A quick trip to the Dollar Store in Lone Oak garnered an ample supply of low-cut socks for all. We then proceeded to polish the floor.

These pictures will hopefully allow us to remember this weekend. Once again, they are not in a specific order, although generally run from decorating to close.
