Class of 66 - Big 4-oh! BBQ-on-the-River

Paducah's "BBQ-on-the-River" and "Old Market Days" is an annual charitable event in which dozens of BBQ Cooking teams compete for prizes and bragging rights all to the benefit of patrons enjoying three days of great vit'les and fixin's.

Although somewhat consequential, our Reunion Weekend 2006 and the John Robinson events were scheduled on the same weekend as BBQ-on-the-River. A number of our class come to support the John Robinson events, so as did many others, we road the wagon and seized the opportunity for everyone to join in the festivities by providing a Class of 66 meeting tent in Schultz Part on the beautiful Paducah Riverfront. While enjoying the BBQ we also found a couple of our classmates who had been working long hours in the competition.

For those who have not been in Paducah for awhile, a lot has changed since our high school days, especially on the riverfront. These pictures show the festival, the riverfront, our tent and a few of the visitors.
