1962 Newspapers

Oak-K Newspapers from the 1961-1962 School Year may be found via the menu to the right all presented in PDF format for viewing or download. We are fortunate for this year to have all eight issues of the newspaper. These issues came from a file cabinet found in the Journalism Department at the high school.

These newspapers are snapshots in time of the life of LOHS containing not only stories about students and faculty, but of major events in the history of the school. From major construction to the addition of tools and equipment for instruction, the staff of the Oak-K stayed on top of it. More than a trip down memory lane, these documents are instrumental in building a life history of LOHS.

For all of you sports fans, each issus's sports page brings to life the excitement of high school sports and who has won bragging rights for the month or year. We hope you find glimpses of the past enjoyable. enjoyable.
