1944 Newspapers

So far, we only have one issue from the school year 1943-44. This issue was found in the LOHS Journalism Department archives.

This 1943 issue, from the school year 1943-44, indicates Volume 3, Number 2. In other years, this December issue would be the 3rd or 4th for the year, so we know not too many were published. The Volume 3 also could indicate there were none produced in 1942-43. That would be consistent with no annual produced and the other indication of war time conservation. It also puts our later year volume numbering closer to reality.

The war continues and is obviously having an effect on home/school life. We can only wonder what became of many of the names mentioned.
