To prom or not to prom?  that is the question!

On May 18th, the Performing Arts club of Lone Oak High School will be putting on their production of the comedic play, Promedy.  The play starts with the student council attempting to decide what the prom theme should be.  But, when Dante Allegro, the self-proclaimed drama geek, is rejected by the text-obsessed cheerleader, Kay Nordstrum, he manages to make the council cancel prom.  Now Beatrix Holiday, with the help of other council members - the science geek Chester, Tanner the football star, and the gothic secretary, Lee - all must come together to make sure Lowzund High has a prom.  Along the way, plenty of other hilarious characters are met, including a 70’s band member, the jocks who take a baby doll to prom, a teacher with a bad back who loves to dance, and plenty of interesting girls who have interesting hobbies, like snakes, volleyball, and voodoo dolls.

The play will be May 18th at 7pm in the Lone Oak High school gym.  Cast members have been working diligently since March to prepare for this hilarious production.  With the help of art and agriculture students here at Lone Oak, the cast members have painted and completely redid the stage, making it look as good as new.  Teachers Mrs. Durbin and Mrs. Howe have been directing the show, and are extremely excited to see the students take the stage and make everyone laugh.  The tickets can either be purchased at the door for a low price of $5.
