    Country music star, George Jones, died at the age of 81 on Friday at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville. He had been in the hospital with since April 18 with a high fever and irregular blood pressure.


    Jones was born in 1931 in east Texas. His early life consisted of a lot of poverty and violence. He taught himself to play guitar, and by the time he was a teenager he was singing on the streets and in the clubs of Texas.


    The country legend’s voice brought grateful depth to the some well known songs like, “She Thinks I Still Care”. Jones was an inspiring figure to upcoming country singers all over. He will be forever missed and never forgotten.
