America’s Newest Peacemaker

In our day in age there is few things that you hear that can actually make you surprised. What tends to happen though is things that make you shake your head, something Dennis Rodman is very good at. Rodman has done many crazy things, but he reached an all time high with his recent visit to North Korea. Yes, you read that right, North Korea, the country that gives the U.S. repeated nuclear threats. At a time when the tension between the two countries is worse than ever, this American man went into North Korea and was suddenly best friends with their leader Kim Jong Un.

Most would say that this visit was useless and has no business of being in the news. But after listening to what Rodman said, I question, Is there more we can gain from this? It was said that Jong Un “really doesn’t want conflict” and “he’s just a misunderstood man”. From the outside however, he sure does seem dangerous. In my opinion there are a few things that come out from the meeting. Did he say these things to Rodman to possibly throw us off from his actual plan? Or maybe none of this was said at all, it was just the way Rodman interpreted it. Either way it is quite entertaining to hear what Rodman had to say about his time over there.

Now what happens next? Does Rodman continue to go over there/and do we let him? The whole North Korea situation is confusing enough, we don’t need more added drama to stir the pot. Rodman did find one common ground between Barack Obama and Jong Un in that they both like basketball. Maybe that will be a conversation starter that can bring peace between the countries. This storyline is only going to get better as we go on, especially with all of the recent threats between the two. I think it would be quite the ending if Dennis Rodman is the peacemaker that can save us from a future war.
