spring break

Spring break is the most memorable experience for many college and high school students. There are people traveling all over the world on this 5-day-long break that ultimately signals that the end of the year is coming fast. Some of the common places visited during this time are Mexico, and Florida. I, myself, will be going to Panama City Beach for the second year in a row come April 1 and I couldn’t be more excited! Who doesn’t love to wake up and go lay on a sunny beach?

While most students are worried about the amount of fun they will be having, more should be concerned with all the safety risks. Other than the more obvious dangers (such as kidnapping, drugs, alcohol, etc.) a lot of people don’t really think about what could happen. One of those being sun burns. When most people think of sunburns they only think of the irritating burning sensation on the affected areas. They don’t realize the serious health risks. They can cause blisters, skin cancer, skin poisoning, and many others. So this year, while you’re soaking up the sun on spring break, remember to use ample amounts of sun screen!
