beta goes to el salvador

Every year for the past 3 years our Lone Oak High School Beta program has been sending a select group of students to El salvador to help their struggling people. For the first time ever, they got a jump start on the consolidation of the schools and sent students from Reidland and Heath as well; they just recently arrived home after a week long trip of feeding the hungry and helping the needy. Not only is this an amazing experience for those El Salvadorians, but for the students as well. The humbleness that the students and teachers come home with is truly inspiring. Going on this trip has always meant, and always will mean very much to everyone involved in it. Personally, I have never been able to attend. But I’ve heard so much good about it that I believe it would really be a shame if they didn’t continue this tradition in the new school. It’s amazing to think that one school trip could impact the lives of many people.
