The Twilight Saga: breaking dawn part 2

It is the moment Twilight fans have both longed for and feared for quite some time now...the dramatic conclusion to the Twilight Saga.  The conclusion comes in two parts, and this the last of those.  I will admit that the first movie in the series bored me to death, especially considering the "fighting" was hardly what I think of when I picture vampire combat.  However, as I gave the series a "second look" I found myself actually getting into the story.  I look past the cheesy love scenes where Edward and Bella seem to find endless joy simply staring at each other, and look more into the story of a vampire family at war with the Volturi.  Considering I am a huge fan of superhero flicks, it is no surprise I am fascinated by the "super powers" the vampires possess.  In this movie, the various super powers are on full display...and it's pretty cool to see Bella realize her potential as a bloodsucker.  At one point she even claims to have been "born for this".  Ha.  I have to admit the creepy red vampire eyes do suit her well!  Anyway, the film does a good job building up to the big battle between the Cullens (and friends), verses the Volturi.  I actually couldn't wait to see what happened!  SPOILER ALERT - I found myself perhaps too satisfied to see Dakota Fanning's head ripped off!  Is that weird?  The film is certainly worth a "look".  I was entertained from the start...and adding deranged immortal vampire toddlers only increased my interest in the film.  The love story is farfetched as expected, but the rest of the movie is solid.  3 of 5 stars.
