Everyone knows that these few winter months are full of family, fun, and (most importantly) food!  For myself, the food is one of the best things about these holidays. I stuff myself until I can barely breathe! Although the food is tasty, and gathering around the table with all your loved ones can be quite entertaining, eating all that food can have some serious health risks involved. I know this is hard to believe.. but there is such a thing called “over eating” and it can really mess with your health. It is a scientific fact that when your stomach gets full, your brain unconsciously tells your body to take a breath. So, if this Thanksgiving or maybe even Christmas, you notice a large breath being taken by you or one of your loved ones, it is my recommendation that you tell them to push their plate away and just stop eating! The tired, worn out feeling you get after the fact is just not worth it. Trust me, I know what it feels like, and if it can be avoided, that’s what you better do.
