“A dollar make me holler honey boo boo child,” are words heard around the world from Alana Thompson a 7-year old child star also known as Honey Boo Boo.  She got her start on the hit TLC show Toddlers and Tiaras and due to her personality and unfiltered language the show was a an immediate hit. With Honey Boo Boo’s growing popularity, the network decided to do a spinoff about Alana and her family and their lives in a small Georgia town. Like Alana, each member of the family has a unique nickname such as; Mama, Sugar Bear, Pumpkin, Chicadee, and Chubbs. It seemed as though over night Here Comes Honey Boo Boo became the topic of conversations in schools, workplaces, and homes everywhere. From the creation of Mama June’s “Sketti” to the secret recipe of Alana’s “Go-Go Juice”, viewers just can’t seem to get enough.

When teachers at Lone Oak High School were asked about their thoughts on Honey Boo Boo this is what they had to say:

Mr. Toy - “She is great and I wish more kids would be like her.”

Mrs. Helmich - “Ridiculously dumb! She is an embarrassment to her and her family.”

Mrs. Scheer - “I blame her mother for the way she acts. I want to stab my eyes out!”

Ms. Warmack - “She is on the fast track to teen pregnancy and diabetes, and I think she is being exploited by her family for money. It is sad.”

Coach Miller - “What is a Honey Boo Boo?”

Mrs. Durham - “I actually drove by her house and took pictures.”
