Lone Oak Restaurant Business Booming

Coach Haskins with Jeff Parker, one of the owners of City Rockers.

Last month, El Barco, the new Mexican restaurant was under construction and in the process of opening.  City Rockers was opened the second weekend of September, and is serving pizza, wings, deserts, and salads.  Located on the same building El Barco is located at, City Rockers is across from SuperValu and on the right side of the building, on Bleich Road.  The restaurant has a 70‘s and 80‘s theme, with many rock bands such as Van Halen and Kiss displayed in posters and music playing.  The owners are the members of the Parker family, who also own Parker’s, another local Lone Oak restaurant.

Jeff Parker, one of the owners of City Rockers said that the salad bar would have over 20 items and, “Will be equivalent to Ruby Tuesday’s salad bar.”  Everything at City Rockers will be made fresh in their Rotoflex brick oven that can cook up to 250 pizzas an hour.   A private dining room is available if you want to reserve it for events such as birthday parties.  There are eleven 55 inch flat screen televisions in City Rockers to watch sports and other shows on.  You may order specialty pizzas, or have some from the buffet.  They also serve deserts, such as one that is similar to a cookie-cake.

Upon entering the restaurant, it was one of the cleanest places I have ever been in.  Everything was washed spotless, and it was very organized.  The pizza resembled a thin-crust, Chicago style pizza with a personal flair.  The workers were friendly and willing to help you in any way possible.  From a first hand look, City Rockers seems to be one of the best restaurants I have ever set foot in, and will lower business for other pizza places, such as the Parlor.
