Moviegoers say, "Bye-bye, American Pie"

The American Pie series has had its ups and downs. The franchise started strong with their first movie, American Pie, which led to two really great sequels. The franchise then took a turn for the worst with four more sequels, each worse than the last. American Reunion changed all of that. The series was dying for a refresher, and this movie is a much-needed return to form.

After receiving a ‘Class of 1999’ reunion invitation, the original cast from the first movie meet back up at East Great Falls, ready to catch up on old times. Everyone (except Stifler, of course) has grown up and taken on adult responsibilities. This doesn’t mean they’re immune to some old-fashioned pranks, however. In one of the funnier scenes, the gang decides to get back at some high school kids, ending with Stifler defacating in their cooler.

Overall, American Reunion is a great ending for the series. We see where the characters have been for the past nine years and the movie shows us that just because high school is over, the friendships you’ve made there don’t have to be lost.
