Lone Oak High, I bid you adieu. I have spent the last 4 years of my life fighting to the top, hoping to reach it one day, and now that I’m here….I want to leave, only to be placed in the bottom of the food chain once again in college. Austin Peay, here I come. Lets go, Peay.

For as long as I can remember I have wanted to be a senior. I’ve envied all the free time and the great advantages that come with being the top dog. Rules don’t apply to those at the top, or so they say. Now that I’m here and I have three AP classes and no time to myself, the pleasure of being a senior isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. Now I desire to be higher, always wanting more. I want to be a crazy college student. The thought of going to college and waking up in places I wasn’t in the night before, being dirty, having no money for food but still gaining fifteen pounds in my freshman year sounds wonderful, don’t you think?

I want to thank all of the teachers that I hated throughout the years for pushing me to get out of their class as quickly as possible by actually doing my homework. I would also like to thank the teachers I loved for making this high school experience exceptionally enjoyable and teaching me that if you suck up enough you can get by with not doing your homework on time. (Remember that kids.) Procrastination and useless knowledge are all things that will stick with me for the rest of my life, for that, I thank this school.

Finally I want to say goodbye to all of the friends and family I have met over these years. Although it may be sad to leave you behind, just remember, I’m in a better place. Graduation isn’t the end of me, but it is the end of the time I have graced the halls of this moldy school with my presence. Stay strong without me, LO.
