Hello, fellow Oakers. It is a strange feeling knowing that this fall I won’t be coming back. To compensate for the loss, I plan on going to college, you know, so that I don’t get bored. It has been a solid ride for me the past four years. I was a caterpillar when I first stepped into this school as a freshman and now I’m leaving as some sort of deformed almost-butterfly type thing out of a horror movie. This school has dealt with me doing just about everything under the sun, from dancing and screaming, to actually studying. I am just thankful I was allowed to be myself and not placed in detention the multiple times I would have been had LOHS administrators and teachers not been acquainted with my acquired taste of a personality. I hope Lone Oak High School stays classy for the last year and that it carries that same spirit to the new high school especially the harshness of our student sections at sporting events. That has always been funny. Now, I just have to figure out what to do with all my purple t-shirts.
