This month’s Junior Rotarian is Nikolas Anderson!  Nikolas is the perfect blend of  academic prowess, extracurricular accomplishment, and raw physical strength. He can be counted on to excel in anything in which he takes part, and he has established himself as a hard worker and a respected member of the Lone Oak High School community.

Nikolas has earned a reputation as one of the very best students to ever walk the halls of Lone Oak. He can often be seen strutting casually to one of his six AP classes, and is easily distinguished by his muscular physique and easy charm. Yet behind his tanned, perfectly symmetrical face lurks a mind that is exceptionally sharp and calculating. Nikolas is one of just seven students in the school’s history to score a perfect 36 on the ACT. He is a National Merit Finalist and is also a National AP Scholar, having scored a 5 on the eight AP Tests that he has taken. He also has a 4.0 GPA and will be a valedictorian when he graduates in May. As classmate Tyler Wallace (12) puts it, “Eh, I guess you could say Nikolas is smart.”

In his extracurriculars, Nikolas has been a prominent member of the cross country, robotics, and academic teams. He was voted both Most Likely to Succeed and Football Homecoming King by his peers.

Even with all of his sports, academic competitions, and coursework, Nikolas still finds time to help his classmates with their studies. He also enjoys surfing the web, Rubik’s Cubing, and freestyle rapping.

He has applied to some of the world’s most prestigious colleges, including Harvard and Princeton. Wherever he ends up, Nikolas’ intelligence and work ethic will ensure that he succeeds.
