Flipboard creates a virtual magazine that hosts all of your personalized interests. When you sign up for a new account, you choose from a plethora of genres that appeal to your particular interests such as Politics, Tech, Gaming, Music, Sports, etc. Top stories in each category show up in a unique six box layout. This layout allows you to quickly browse top stories and review the latest trending topics and breaking news.  As the app's popularity grew, it gained major news sources that made its appeal more authoritative and trustworthy.

    The most appealing feature of this app is its simultaneous integration of Twitter and Facebook.  Combining the two biggest social networking sites makes this app the first to do so. The ability to peruse the Twitter feeds while accessing many aspects but not all of Facebook sets this app apart from the rest.

    Its idiosyncratic method of displaying the latest news allows you to see things you normally would have to look high and low for.
