Though Christmas break is just around the corner, the Lone Oak boys basketball team is far from slowing down. Team captains Jack Coleman and Mitch Jacobs are doing a superb job leading their team in their recent winning streak against Reidland, Carlisle, and Ballard County. Sophomore Kam Chumbler, the star of the past few games due to his game winning buzzer shots against Carlisle County (59-58) and Ballard Memorial (40-38), comments on the team's success: “We've been working really hard at practice and playing even harder. I'm very confident that we can go really far if we keep pushing ourselves at practice.”

So far the leading scorer of the season is Coleman with 67 points out of the 6 games followed by McKinney with 50.

Their loss against St. Mary on December 6 (55-68), proved to be a mere learning experience for the team. The Flash boys have drastically improved from last season. With only 6 games under their belt, they have already won an equivalent number of games as they did in the entire last season.

Nothing helps the boys keep up their hard work ethic like a loud and proud fan section, so visit www.maxpreps.com/high-schools/lone-oak-purple-flash-(paducah,ky)/basketball/schedule.htm for the schedule and mark your calendars so you can be a part of this all-star season.
