Where would we be today if Steve Jobs didn’t make every brilliant move that he did? He was an inventor, chief executive, co-founder, entrepreneur, and chairman. Although he stepped aside just prior to his death, Steve Jobs was the face of the Apple company and the spirit of the iPhone 4s which was released just after his death.  Jobs died October 5th, 2011 of pancreatic cancer.

Steve Jobs was born on February 24, 1955. When he was 25 years old, Jobs and his partners Steve Wozniak and Mike Markkula marketed one of the first successful personal computers, the Apple IIc. They improved on that model until releasing the Macintosh.

Pairing with Xerox created multiple opportunities for the innovators. In the 1980’s, they created the company Lisa Apple and then followed with Macintosh. During its early years, Jobs was fired from the company he founded. When he returned 4 years later, he had done multiple projects that would soon help his career like partnering with NeXT, Pixar, Lucasfilm Ltd., and Walt Disney Company.

Shortly after his return, Jobs took the helm and Apple blossomed.  He is credited with the iPod series, the Macbook series, Mac home, the iPhone series, and all the software that updated along with new technologies.

Steve Jobs was a man of technology and brilliance who brought the world to a new age.  Jobs once said, “ Be a yardstick of quality. Some people aren’t used to an environment where excellence is expected.” He loved the thrill of learning and fulfilling others’ needs through technology. Jobs brought the future to the present and created a bridge to the future of technology for us to explore. He may be gone, but in his lifetime, Jobs offered great insights and left behind amazing tools which will be used to gain even more insight.

Rest in peace.
