We scanned the newspapers and annual for 1986 seeking some noteworthy comment that typifies or sets 1986 apart, and although there were quite a number of exciting and achieving events, nothing singularly stood out. Perhaps exciting is normal once you reach such a plateau of grateness. Principal Tommy Stephenson and a dedicated staff continued to lead the school, graduating 170 seniors for 1986. And from honors programs to sports, it does seem LOHS has achieved a high level of excellence. In any case, see for yourselves from all the goings-on for school year 1985-86 remembered in the available documents, after all, isn't that what remembering is all about?
