In the September 24, 1983 Oak-K, Principal Tommy Stephenson wrote the following in his monthly "From the Principal" column;

"Recently, I had the pleasure and privilege to be involved in a class reunion on the Lone Oak High School Class of '32. It was fun, being with Lone Oak people. I was struck by a number of facts that are still evident in my mind. These same facts are evident in the student body today."

"Lone Oak students care, be they the Class of '32 or the Class of '83. The same concern for each other, the same evidence of pride in accomplishment and the same spirit of competition exist. The same 'We Are Lone Oak' attitude runs through the whole family of Lone Oak, grads and students alike. It is wonderful to see."

It could not have been said better, then and now.

For 1983, we have the yearbook and most of the Oak-K newsletters, all with great stories and plenty of memories. We hope to build on the collection for 1983, but hope you enjoy what we have.
