Class of 65 Reunions
This page holds class pictures and links to photos we have for any of the several reunions enjoyed by the Class of 65. Most of these were provided to us by the reunion committee at the 50th Anniversary Reunion in 2015, and we are very appreciative to have them. We hope this trip down memory lane is enjoyable. The Class photos shown below for each reunion are all in the same slideshow "gallery", so when you open one you can scroll through all.
For their 10th, 35th, 40th and 45th, class menbers supplied us with photos from those reunions. We present those photos via the menus above for your enjoyment and remembrance of the class of 65.
No other high school reunion for any class is quite the spectacle as the first, most often the 10 year anniversary of graduation. Among the reacquainting of long time child hood friends there is the inevitable competition of achievement on very obvious display in gowns, suits and even tuxes for the show offs. The 10th is also the most attended of any class reunion, and from the picture below, it was almost a full class. But as much competition as there is, the biggest feeling is "we made it!" We actually made it.
Held in July 1975, from the pictures we have of the Class of 65, they were no different than other classes. But it is also obvious they had a grand time from the few images we have. For this year, we do not have a list of names attending, so if anyone wants to create one, we will happily post it.
Thirty year reunion, well... actually 29 years, held in 1994 instead of 1995 according to the picture. Held at the Executuve Inn. How many of us celebrated 29 years instead of 30? For how long? No other pictures than s substancially reduced group picture, but we do have a names list.

Once again the Class of 65 meets to get reaquainted with old... er friends and remember their high school years. For their 35, the Class of 64 and the Class of 65 joined their 35th Reunion and held the joint reunion on July 17, 1999. The event started with a brunch and tour of the just opened new LOHS, led by our favorite tour guide; Buddy Rushing. We have a few pictures of that. The celebration continued that evening at the Irvin Cobb hotel.

On the "Robinson Weekend" at the end of September 2005, the Class of 65 once again met for what was their 40th anniversary reunion. The pictures we have are from the Saturday evening event at the Lone Oak Lions Club. And with fear of error, believe they were taken and provided by Carolyn Grimes Massa. Thank you!

A 50 year anything is an event to celebrate, none-the-less a 50 year high school reunion. Such as it was for the Class of 65 in 2015, 50 years beyond their departure from LOHS. Again, the last weekend in September, meeting at the Rolling Hills Country Club for dinner and... well, there were no wheel chair races, much to young. So far we just have the group picture, enjoy.

As time goes, another five years is a small piece over 55 years, but none-the-less worth celebrating. And so, after much work and consideration in the Covid times, those brave enough joined once again to celebrate and renew friendships. Nineteen class mates and spouses met at the Lone Oak Lions Club for dinner and conversation, which we are sure involved retelling some of the old tales. Below is the class photo for the 55th, maybe some other class mates will add to the album over time. Enjoy.
