About This Site

This page provides links to all the information we presently have available for the LOHS Class of 61, which includes the Senior Spotlight and 7 of the probably 8 Oak-K Newspapers published for the year. We also have a few of the programs and guides published for the various events of the year. We hope everyone will keep looking and maybe other memoriabilia will turn up.

The biggest event for the 59-61 school year may be noted in the October 5th Oak-K. After months of planning, Mr Richard Petty began the process of forming the Lone Oak Band and by print time of the Oak-K edition the new band was taking shape. This was not the first band for the high school, as one was in existence off and on since the 1930s, but as time will tell, it was the biggest and best.
