About This Site
This page provides links to all the information we presently have available for the LOHS Class of 59. The image of the senior class was an original photo or at least an original print, and thus capable of a high resolution scan. As such we have a 1200dpi scan if anyone desires to enlarge part of the image. Thanks to Buddy Rushing, who was a member of the Class of 59, we have the Senior Spotlight and several senior year event programs. The Class of 59 has also held several reunions through the years, of which we have a few photos; all accessible through the menu selections above.
During the 58-59 school year, work began on the next level of expansion for the Lone Oak portion of the McCracken Cty School system: The construction of a dedicated elementary school. Since 1920, Lone Oak High School housed all twelve grades and over the almost 40 years, the student population had grown to fill every closet and corner of the new high school and all it's additions. The new elementary school would move grades 1 through 6 out of the high school and allow much needed relief.
Enjoy what we have for 1959, if you have addition information that is applicable to the Class of 59, please e-mail the site Webmaster. Please provide contact information so that we may reply.
