1956 Other Publications and Memories
This page holds a collection of programs and publications from various events familiar to the Class of 56, and for
that matter other LOHS Alumni. Select any image within a group to see a slideshow of those documents. The Commencement
Program is rather interesting - it was the top copy on a stack of printed programs direct from the printing company.
Thanks to Annita Kelly Hollowell '56 and of course Billy Don Hollowell '56 for providing them. We hope all enjoy this trip down
memory lane by the Ol' Oak tree.

Career Day 1956
Career Day was an annual event for the senior class. Started by Principal John Robinson in 1953, Career Day allowed
seniors to talk to real life professionals in a career that was important to them. If the senior had not made a
career choice, it allowed them to survey possibilities.

Senior Day at Murray State
Remember Senior Day at Murray State and other nearby colleges? It was a great day to get out of class and tour a
college campus. Especially if you could hitch a ride with other seniors instead of your parents.

Now here's a pop quiz - Do you remember the 8th Grade? For most of us, it was practice for high school.
You were the little big shot for a year.
