About This Site

This site presents the information we have collected about the Lone Oak High School Class of 1936. We started with only a couple of pictures from this Class of 36 and are slowly adding to the collection.

Earl Metcalf (37) and Kay Metcalf Holland (71) furnished a newspaper article on the varsity basketball team for 1936 and recently Bertha Sanderson Watts (59) provided the actual photo which had the names listed on the back.

This class photo shown to the right came from Buddy Rushing's collection of LOHS Memoriabilia including an image of the back of the photo listing everyone in the picture including the principal in 1936; Woodfin Hutson. The name list on the photo was probably original, however it has been annotated with married names and those who were deceased. Obviously used as a reunion guideline at some point.
