About This Site

This page is dedicated to the Lone Oak High School Class of 1923. This class held a rather unique honor. The Class of 1923 consisted of 5 girls, no boys. Miss Sylvia Wood, Miss Nell Wood, Miss Anna May Page, Miss Mabel Rudolph and Miss Louise Thomas. All of this was learned from newspaper clippings from the Paducah paper of the time. In 1923, Lone Oak High School was still meeting in the former Kentucky Western College building. Emmett S Sherron continued as Principal at the time.
